Obituary

Brenda Kay Ross Parker of Bluefield, VA passed on August 5, 2023. Daughter of the late Doc Fife and Hester Strong Fife, she was a 1968 graduate of Pocahontas High School. She was a secretary and caregiver for her parents.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her Brother Bobby Moore, Sister Shirley Baker, and Sister Norma Bowman. She is survived by her daughter, Paula Ross, "Grandson" Ryan Tyler Anderson, "Adopted" Son Don Marrs, Brother and Sister-in-Law Jerry and Marilyn Moore, Uncle and Aunt Rusty and Clara Fife, Niece Marie Massey and Husband Davis, and Nephew Troy Baker and Wife Donna.

Brenda enjoyed going out and being with people. For a few years, she was an active member of the Bluefield Moose where she made many lifelong friends.

Brenda was known and loved by many people. They were touched by her kind spirit, generous smile, happy personality, and determination. One of her greatest loves was her "Grandson" Ty, watching him grow into the successful young man he is today. Brenda was also a great animal lover, sharing her home with 6 cats and 2 dogs at the time of her death. In addition to her animals, she loved coloring, her flowers, and her Concord grape vines.

The Family wishes to thank Drema, Paige, and Gail with MSA Hospice for their care of Brenda.

Services to celebrate her life will be held at Dudley Memorial Mortuary on Thurs, Aug 10 at 2pm with Minister Larry Kinzer officiating. Visitation will be, at 1pm through the time of service.
