BRENDA JEAN COON

Brenda Jean Coon, 80 of Connelly Springs, NC and formerly of Bluefield, VA, went home to be with her Lord Friday, May 23, 2025 at College Pine Nursing Home, Connelly Springs, NC.  Born in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late John McCray Coon Sr and Trula Lawrence Coon.  Her life's work was spent as a caregiver to many.  She was of the Church of God faith and attended church faithfully in NC, as well as Bluefield, when she lived here. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Margaret Louise Wilson, John Coon, Jr and James Coon.

She will be lovingly missed by her sisters and brother: Laura Godsey of Chester, VA, Phyllis Pruett of Concord, NC and Ronald Coon of Tazewell, VA and also several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Brenda's life will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Jimi Watson officiating.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, Princeton, WV.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.
