BOBBIE EILEEN JOHNSON

Bobbie Eileen Johnson, 73 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born March 30, 1947 in Tennessee to Jack Fletcher and Peggy Jo Hamlin. Bobbie is survived by her husband of 30 years, Walter H. Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her daughter, Darla; one grandchild: Dorothy; and a great-grandchild: Patricia.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one brother: Scott Hamlin and wife, Nikki of Alameda, CA; three children: Marilyn Rogers and husband, James of Beech Grove, AR, Gwen Miller and husband, Carl of Roanoke, VA and Walter Johnson, Jr and wife, Patricia of Martinez, CA; 4 grandchildren and their spouses: Garth, Ethan, Katy and Becky; 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law: Robert Smeltzer, Geraldine Johnson, Joseph Smeltzer and wife, Barbara and Naomi Jenkins and husband, Louis and many dear friends, including Betty and Tina.

Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, no funeral services will be held for Bobbie at this time, but a memorial service may be held at a later date.

The family would especially like to thank the ICU/COVID Care Unit at Beckley ARH for the excellent and tireless care provided for Bobbie as well as her family.
