BOBBY CLINTON GILLESPIE

Bobby C. Gillespie, of Bluefield, VA, was welcomed into the arms of his Savior on Sunday, September 07, 2025 with his wife, Vicky and his sister, Linda by his side.  Born in Tokyo, Japan, he was the son of the late Berkley C. and Minnie Gillespie of Bluefield, VA.  He was a 1970 graduate of Graham High School. He also attended Bluefield College, SWV Community College and Bluefield State College and obtained his Bachelor's Degree.  Bobby enjoyed hiking the Appalachian Trail, fishing, camping, riding his bike and cooking.  He was a member of Graham Christian Church in Bluefield, VA.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Vicky Gillespie; stepson: Paul Lazenby and wife, Stephanie of Walland, TN; brother-in-law: Donald Linkous and wife, Donna of Bluefield, VA; sister: Linda Ballard and husband, Lenny of Abingdon, VA; nephew: Andy Ballard of Abingdon, VA; niece: Sarah Ballard and friend, Tara and great-niece, Arlie all of Weaverville, NC.

The family is grateful to Fresenius Kidney Care, Bluefield Virginia Rescue Squad and MSA Hospice for the care they extended to Bob during his illness.

It was Bob's wish to be cremated.  There will be no public service at this time.  There will be a celebration of life service posted when the family finalizes the details.
