BILLY EDWARD WILLIAMS, SR.

Billy Edward Williams, Sr, 94, of Bluefield, WV, passed away Friday, May 21, 2021.  He was born in Lexington, NC and was the son of the late Ottis Thurmond and Ida Veigh Weaver Williams.  Billy had worked for the N&W Rail Road and was a WWII Veteran serving in the US Army. He like fishing and enjoyed playing baseball. He was a member of the Bluefield Virginia Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Francis Evelyn Graham Williams; his son: Billy Edward Williams, Jr; and 6 of his siblings.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons: Randy Williams and wife, Hazel of Bluefield, VA, Michael Williams of Bluefield, WV, David Williams of Princeton, WV and John Williams of Knoxville, TN; his brother: Ottis Thurmond  "O.T." Williams, Jr. of Atlanta, GA.

A service to celebrate Billy's life will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev Steve Aker officiating. Burial will follow at Monte-Vista Park Cemetery. The Mercer County Honor Guard will conduct Military Rites at the grave.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
