Beverly Elaine Billips

(December 13, 1969 – November 17, 2023)

Beverly Elaine Billips of Gastonia, NC departed this life on Friday, November 17, 2023, she was at home surrounded by her family.  Elaine was 53 years old, and had faced severely declining health over the past year.

Elaine was born in Bluefield WV, the daughter of Willard C. "Bud" Billips and Brenda Sue Vaughn Billips.  Elaine resided in Gastonia NC with her husband, two daughters and beloved pets.  Elaine worked for many years as a caring and compassionate nurse.  She began working in hospitals and discovered she enjoyed working with older adults and began working in nursing homes. She then transitioned to home health, where she enjoyed getting to know her patients and their families.

Elaine was preceded in death by her father Willard "Bud" Billips.  She is survived by her mother Sue Billips of Hardy VA; her husband Kurt Bauer, Gastonia NC, and daughters Katie Bauer, and Gabrielle Bauer both of the home.  She is also survived by a sister Elizabeth Stock (Jay) and family of Hardy VA.

The family welcomes visitation by friends and relatives on Monday, November 20, 11:30 am at Dudley Funeral Home, Bluefield VA, with graveside to follow at Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield VA.
