BETTY BAILEY RORRER

Betty Bailey Rorrer, 87, of Falls Mills, VA, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026.  Born in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Beulah Tabor Sarver. Betty worked at Joy Manufacturing for a number of years and then she served as a teacher's aide for the remainder of her work career at Dudley Primary School.  Betty enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels in her yard.  She was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church and was a part of the lady's group, Willing Workers.  She loved her family but was exceptionally passionate about being "Maw-Maw" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Elwood Bailey; her sons: David Wayne Bailey and Thomas Aaron Rorrer; her granddaughter: Nikki Bailey; her brother: Charles Preston Sarver.

She will be lovingly and affectionately missed by her husband of 33 years: James William Rorrer, Jr; sons: Jim Bailey and wife, Cindy of Falls Mills, VA and Alex Rorrer and wife, Gena of Oshkosh, WI; brother: Jack Sarver of Bluefield, WV; sister-in-law: Janice Sarver of Abbs Valley, VA; grandchildren: Cortni Smith and husband, Ben, Jarrod Bailey and wife, Callista, Kaila Taylor and husband, Robbie, Jessica Lloyd and husband, Mike, Tom Rorrer and wife, Olivia and Frank Rorrer; great-grandchildren: Kennedy, Willow, Reese, Harper, Porter, Abigail and Greyson; special cousins/sisters: Phyllis Adkins and Regina Ramey.

A service to celebrate Betty's life will be held Monday, September 21, 2026, at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Larry Ramey, Rev. Donnie Bailey and Rev. Vic Lester officiating.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday evening at Dudley Memorial from 5:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.

Burial will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Grandview Memory Mausoleum Chapel.  Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Grandview Mausoleum on Tuesday morning no later than 10:45 A.M.
