.ARNOLD EDWARD YOST

Arnold Edward Yost, 87, of Bluefield, VA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
He was born in Gratton, VA and was the son of the late William Greever Yost and Olive Gray Yost. He served with honor and distinction in the US Army for 9 years and was honorably discharged. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 9696 and served as commander from 1996 to 1997 and again in 2010 to 2011 with distinction. He was also a member of the American Legion.

Arnold is preceded in death by his parents, Greever & Olive Yost, his twin sister Anna Cox, Brother John T. Yost, and daughter Gerlinde Weber.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janet Yost, daughter Tanya Duncan of South Carolina, son Edward Yost (Dorle) of Germany, daughter  Edith Yost of Germany, and his grandchildren Grayson Duncan, Ella Grace Duncan, Martin Meyer, and Yvonne Seidinger, brother James C Yost of North Carolina, sister in laws Joe Ann Tolbert, Linda Moore, and Betty Yost, nieces and nephews, and special family friends, Wes and Rhonda Dixon, Harold Pruett and his loyal fur baby Lucy.

A service to celebrate Mr. Yost's life will be held Monday, June 5, 2023 at Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, VA with Rev. Jim Bassett officiating. With visitation at 1:00 PM followed promptly at 2pm with a church memorial service at the chapel.
