ANITA DIANE PUCKETT

Anita Diane Puckett, 61 of Springville, VA, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, VA.  Born in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Alvin Smith, Sr and Janice Lee Hoops Smith.  Anita was a CNA at Heritage Hall for many years.  In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years: Johnny Dale Puckett; sister: Michelle Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Michael Lee Smith and wife, Kandi of North Tazewell, VA and John D. Puckett of Springville, VA; grandson: Ethan Michael Smith of North Tazewell, VA; brother: James Alvin Smith, Jr of North Tazewell, VA.

A service to celebrate Anita's life will be held Monday, July 08, 2024 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 11:00 A.M.  with Rev. Dennis McLemore officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Michael Smith, Ethan Smith, John Puckett, Bill Beavers, Chuckie Hoops, Drake Dishman and Chris Gamble.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday July 08, 2024 at Dudley Memorial from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.
