ALEXANDER PHILLIPS "PHIL" MAHOOD
Alexander Phillips "Phil" Mahood, 28 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 after a brief unexplained illness at Bristol Regional Medical Center with his family by his side. Born in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of Larry and Jennifer Phillips Mahood. Phil was a 2007 graduate of Graham High School and had gradutated from ODU with a Bachelor of Science in Business Communications. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. He loved playing and watching sports, going to the beach and fishing with his family. Phil was a gentle soul with a compassionate heart and was a family oriented man. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Luke Mahood and Glyn R. Phillips.
He will be lovingly and affectionately remembered by his parents: Larry and Jennifer Mahood of Bluefield, VA; brother: Blaine Mahood of Raleigh, NC; sister: Maggie Mahood of Johnson City, TN; grandmothers: Zane Mahood and Rita Phillips; an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A service to celebrate Phil's life will be Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Bluefield, VA with Dr. Brad Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, Bluefield, VA from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of the service.
