Alan Lee Kidd

January 20, 1964 – February 22, 2021

Alan Lee Kidd died February 22, 2021 in a Princeton hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 20, 1964 to the late Ivan Ray Kidd, Sr. and Mary Ethel Caudill Kidd.

Alan was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Bluefield, VA. He was a graduate of Graham High School and Bluefield State College. He was a teacher in the McDowell School System. He loved working with the kids and also coaching football. He enjoyed spending time with his extensive family. His favorite pastime was reading. He loved many types of books but he would tell you his best book was his Bible, which he read daily.

Left to cherish his memory are 8 siblings: Dollie Gamble, Linda (Mike) Neal, John (Mary) Kidd, Bonnie (Ron) Hesson, and Roba Kidd all of Bluefield, VA; Shirley (Ronnie) Dillard of North Tazewell, VA; William (Wanda) Kidd of Pulaski, VA and Ivan Kidd, Jr. of Tazewell, VA.

He was deeply loved by a host of nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate Alan's life will be held at Memorial Baptist Church, Bluefield, VA with Pastor Bill Lykins officiating on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation an hour before. There will be no graveside rites.

In accordance with Alan's wishes his nephews will be his pall bearers. They are: Edwin Gamble, Jr., Nicholas Kidd, John W. Kidd, Jr., William T. (Tim) Kidd, Jr., Craig Nash and Benjamin Nash.

In lieu of flowers Alan asked that donations be made to Bluefield Union Mission or Bland Ministry Center or the Wade Center.
