AGNES MARIE JEFFREY
Agnes Marie Jeffrey, 92 of Bluefield, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 7, 2015. She was born in Boissevain, VA, and was the daughter of the late John Clayton and Maggie Jane Sanders Thompson. She attended Rogers Street Community Church and Boissevain Full Gospel Church. She loved attending church and reading her bible. Mrs Jeffrey was a homemaker her entire life. She enjoyed watching birds from her chair in the corner and she loved purple flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Albert William Jeffrey; siblings: Mae Phipps, Sula Catron, Peery Thompson and R.C. Thompson; grandchild: Albert Jeffrey III.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Phyllis Hamm and husband Ildon of Strongsville, OH, Albert Jeffrey Jr. and wife Florence of Brunswick, OH, Brenda Thornton and husband Roger of Mansfield, OH, her lifelong caregiver, Geraldine Jeffrey with whom she made her home, Mary Lee Phillips and husband Victor of Princeton , WV, Pamela Gaye Goforth and husband Sam of Princeton, WV; brother: Jack Thompson of Bluefield, WV; sister: Margaret McCormick, Abbs Valley, VA; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; special friend, Kathy Ferris of Bluefield, VA; and very special friend that was considered family, Carol Treadway of Princeton, WV; special caregivers of Total Home Health Care and staff; and her fur baby cat: Roadrunner.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Pastor Gene Pennington and Rev Carlos Hess officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday at the funeral home from 5:00p.m. until the hour of the service. Interment will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Grandview Memory Mausoleum Chapel. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
